Ground Source Heat Pumps : Domestic

This ground-to-water heat pump is one of the most popular of the Geothermal options, providing an ideal efficient and effective heating system with very low running costs.

The choice of internal location is flexible, with pipe fittings optional to left or right side.

The Solterra series is specifically designed for low temperature heating systems such as underfloor.

For ground loops, up to half an acre of land is needed for a 2,000 sq. ft building so that the pipes can be laid out horizontally 1-2metres below the ground, generally in rows 2 ½ feet apart.

Where available land is restricted, boreholes can be drilled vertically 100 metres into the earth, according to the suitability of the site.

Various factors will determine the size of the heat pump and the number of loops required so that the heating needs of the individual can best be met.

The recently introduced, well-designed, compact heat station only requires comparable space to that needed by a washing machine.

The heat station incorporates both the buffer tank and the hydraulic station, with the heating system and hot water electronic controls being installed on top of the model. Both ease of adjustment and ease of service are facilitated.
