Ground Source Heat Pumps : Industrial

Alpha-innoTec's Solterra three phase range includes specifically designed ground-to-water Heat Pumps for industrial requirements. The Heat Pump needs to be located indoors and requires space to include buffer tank storage. The location is flexible, with pipe fittings optional to the left or right side.

For commercial heating purposes, Solterra heat pumps can be inter-linked to provide a total heating capacity of up to 860kW.

The recently introduced heat station incorporates the hydraulic station, with the heating system and hot water electronic controls being installed on top of the model. Both ease of adjustment and ease of service are facilitated.

The Solterra series is specifically designed for low temperature heating systems such as underfloor.

For ground loops, up to half an acre of land is needed for a 2,000 sq. ft building so that the pipes can be laid out horizontally 1-2metres below the ground, generally in rows 2 ½ feet apart.

Where boreholes are the preferred option,these can be drilled vertically between 100-150 metres into the earth, according to the suitability of the site.

Various factors will determine the size of the heat pump and the number of boreholes required so that the heating needs of the individual building can best be met.
